Climate & Culture
The building at the corner of B and Allegheny Avenue looks to have gone unchanged for decades. But inside, there's a school that's undergone a transformation as profound as the issues its community faces.

With the shift in management of John B. Stetson, the school saw it's average rate of truancy drop from over 70 percent, to under nine percent... the average number of incidents involving law enforcement go from 49 to 1.. and the average number of annual arrests fall from 30 to zero.

These are the types of results that are possible at a school where suspension is a last resort - and caring,research-informed interventions by dedicated professionals are the norm. Stetson Charter has become a safe, trusted place for students to learn and grow during their crucial middle-school years and continually expands its role as a hub for community improvement and action with each passing year.
